Position:Marketing Manager EMEA (m/f)
Location:Home Office
Our client:Our client provides a wide range of circuit protection and power management components designed to protect electrical and electronic systems
Products:The company manufactures products like Fuses, Disconnects, Overvoltage Products and Capacitors
Job scope summary:The Marketing Manager, EMEA is responsible for managing all aspects of strategic market development and business planning for the client in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India for new technologies outside of core competencies today.This includes the strategic direction for the market and product development of all identified new technology families for the client EMEAI. The Marketing Manager works globally with the Product Management, sales, Business Development, Operations and Engineering teams to identify new technology trends and market opportunities outside of the client’s current product portfolio
Responsibilities:
  • Analyse, Present and recommend market development opportunities in new technologies
  • Manage Marketing Intelligence and Research system that includes: business & economic research (industries, markets, competitors), and buying behaviour analysis (brand awareness and preference, product satisfaction)
  • Analyse and identify markets and industries in the electrical environment, focusing on trends, strategies, SWOT, financial and market figures
  • Develop Marketing strategies in new technologies such as Super & Ultra Capacitors, IGBT, power switching modules, power conversion and other close adjacencies identified with the client’s corporate strategy
  • Investigate and present longer term technology trends in materials, production, testing, engineering
  • Participate in ideas generation with sales, product management, business development, engineering and corporate business development
  • Execute customer visitors in order to stay in touch with market developments and create a programme which ensures that the VOC is actively built into our tollgate process
  • Licensing, branding, acquisition, product development, join ventures and other strategies to drive the customer in moving into new technologies and applications of the launching plan and managing the sales collateral tools plan
  • Company Differentiation and Positioning: identify differentiation tools, participate in the development of the strategy and communicate to external audience
  • Propose organisational design, additions and reorganisations where appropriate to support other functional areas of the business in new technologies
  • Define and manage a system to provide technical support to external or internal customers in the newly identified product and application areas, ensuring that our solutions are focused on customer satisfaction, recommend organisational development, capability addition, where appropriate
  • Participate in other activities such as trade fairs, standards, technology seminars/fairs, lectures and new product development, marketing communications , when appropriate to improve understanding of the market
Skills/Qualification:
  • Experience of managing people and also the ability to lead and influence cross functional teams where there is no direct reporting lines.
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Share highly company corporate vision, mission and policy
  • Work with high energy, self responsibility, and determined
  • Must be able to travel extensively within the responsible territory
  • Ability to schedule and conduct presentations, seminars and training to large groups
  • Teamwork, fostering of relationships, developing consensus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly customer orientation and cost consciousness
  • Excellent knowledge of English (both spoken and written)
Experience/Education:
  • Experience with electrical products is a must
  • Degree in Marketing, Business and/or Engineering
  • Significant experience of developing a business team/functional area outside of the core technology/application, from the ground up, working across functional areas of a business, preferably in a global corporate environment, with little additional support
  • Entrepreneurial, with significant experience in electrical sales, marketing, application engineering or product engineering is required, within an electrical or electronic manufacturing organisation
Reports to:Director Marketing
Income:Depending on qualification a good salary plus bonus and company car will be provided
