| Our client: | Our client provides and manufactures a wide range of safety products for hazardous area applications. |
| Job scope summary: | The Senior Design Engineer is to take on various Engineering roles in support of custom product creation, new product development and technical support of existing products. This involves the Design of New Products, communication with customers and full release and transfer of products into manufacturing. |
| Responsibilities: | - Implementing external and internal requirements in hardware systems/PC boards
- Working out solutions in close co-operation with the software development
- Providing Custom Mechanical solutions
- Defining interface, quality, production and logistics requirements for the hardware and mechanical design in line with the market and according to customer requirements
- Developing of design specifications in co-operation with the project team
- Creating and monitoring of deadlines, costs and capacity schedules
- Executing analyses on function, arrangement and design
- Developing, evaluating and co-ordinating alternative solutions by taking into account functional, technological, production-specific and economic aspects
- Re-designing systems, for example according to changes in function and components
- Customizing existing hardware systems according to technical or customer requirements
- Optimizing systems on the basis of systematic analyses of weak points
- Executing and recording of unit and acceptance tests
- Creating necessary documentation

| Skills/Qualification: | - Experience in analogue and digital circuit technology, circuit simulation and layout with strong customer focus
- Mechanical CAD experience
- Experience in appliance design in accordance with the EMC standards
- Experience with reliability, regulations and norms
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of standard PC interfaces
- Experience in measurement technology would be of advantage
- Experience in visualization techniques and/or Explosion Protection would be of advantage
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, a high level of motivation, flexibility and team spirit
- Practical PC-user knowledge
- Fluent in German and excellent written and verbal English skills

| Experience/Education: | - Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or equivalent Engineering Qualification
- 5 years or more relevant product design experience
|
| Reports to: | Operations Director |
| Income: | Depending on qualification a good salary plus bonus will be provided |
