General Manager Power Modules - 2258

Our client:
Our customer is as a global technology solutions leader specialized in highly reliable and quality electronics for long product life cycle segments such as automotive, industrial electronics and the aerospace market. With a high EMS ranking they provide engineering, manufacturing, and support and fulfilment capabilities to diverse industries globally with production sites all over the world.

For the automotive segment our customer offers customized solutions for safety and security, which includes automotive cameras, electronic control units (ECUs) and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). In the industrial segment, the company manufactures security and access control devices, power modules, and asset tracking systems, among others. For aerospace various wireless solutions including products to a range of helicopters, multiple fast jet platforms, transport aircrafts and drones have been provided.
Key responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for the successful and fast growing development of the Power Modules Manufacturing linked to the E.V. and industrial markets including P&L responsibility focused on cost management, operational efficiency and quality
  • Responsibility for implementing and maintaining industrial excellence standards based on the power module manufacturing rule of art and continuous improvement strategy approach
  • Technical Product Management
  • Standardise, develop, optimize and improve all technical manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Evaluate new projects in respect to the technical and commercial feasibility
  • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal time
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
  • Restructure the manufacturing plant in respect to new technical and global challenges
  • Analyse technical and commercial customers requirements and support customers on site
  • Manage a workforce of 70+ employees in the manufacturing plant for project management, project engineering, product management, product quality, supply chain including engineers, technicians, inspectors, supervisors and coordinators
  • Set ambitious production goals and communicate them to key personnel
  • Provide leadership, industrial expertise, motivation, support and guidance to all employees
  • Coordinate, build up, coordinate, develop and inspire teams in problem solving, continuous improvement, industrial excellence, customer relationship & communication
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management
  • Conduct integrity and actively promote the highest ethical behavior by all employees
  • Ensure that moral, ethical and legal obligations are adhered to, in accordance with local and corporate requirements
  • Experience in operations management experience ideally in the automotive sector
  • Experience working with multi-cultural teams and preferably with work experience in South East Asia
  • Experience in production control, scheduling, maintenance, quality, processes, NPI and CI
  • Strong in driving manufacturing process improvements successfully
  • General knowledge of Power Module products and processes
  • Experience in applying basic methodologies for manufacturing processes
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong, confident and effective communication skills to manage relationships effectively, both internally and externally
  • Highly structured and effective problem-analysing skills
  • Genuinely customer-focused and shop-floor oriented
  • Target driven and results focused
  • Committed and winning individual with an objective, sleeves rolled up, down-to-earth, hard-working style
  • High integrity and a strong commitment to organisational and ethical values
Education and experience:
  • 3+ years' experience in managing manufacturing and quality operations
  • 2+ years' managing experience with P&L and a positive track record
  • Technical Bachelor's degree required
Reports to:
Region Operations Head
