Position:
Global Channel Sales Manager (m/w/x) - 2278
Our client:
Our client is an international provider of measurement, instrumentation, piping solutions and over pressure protection devices to the natural gas and utility markets, including the water, gas and electric sectors
Job scope:
  • Wins, maintain and expand relationships with assigned and new channel partner globally
  • Support strategy to grow with partners and new products by 10% year over year
  • Develop partners and new products to support the existing local sales force and push the global strategy
  • Establish productive, professional long-term relationships with assigned partners
  • Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet partner performance objectives and partners’ expectations
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives
  • Proactively lead regular business review process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship
  • Build and sustain a regional business plan taking care on country political and economic drivers, local competitive situation, and partner product needs
  • Sell product portfolio through partner organizations to end users in coordination with partner sales resources and local support
  • Secure legal aspects with all channel partners by having a valid contract signed
  • Build and sustain a training program
  • Give first level technical support
  • Challenge and evaluate partner performance regularly
  • Recruit new qualifying partners proactively recruit if needed
  • Apply the Partner Validation Process to new sales channel partners
  • Manage the realization and implementation of the different contracts (Distribution / Agency / Service Agreement)
  • Enlist the support of local sales, marketing, manufacturing, and management resources as needed
  • Coordinate company executive involvement with partner and end-user customer management closely as appropriate
  • Work closely with representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
  • Work closely with the local sales organization and international marketing with focus on global interest
  • Optimize the sales processes with the objective to minimalize the cost and improve partner and customer satisfaction
  • Coordinate all trade show activities
  • Organize customer days in the countries and annual Channel partner events and once a year a partner satisfaction survey
  • Develop communication with partners (newsletters, Intranet, product documentation, etc.)
Accountabilities and performance measure:
  • Achieve assigned sales objectives with designated partner accounts (budget or more)
  • Meet assigned expectations for profitability
  • Complete partner business plans that meet company standards and objectives
  • Maintain high partner satisfaction
  • Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
Qualifications & skills:
  • Profound understanding of Sales and Channel Sales
  • Proven track record in strategically building and managing a channel sales network in same or other relevant industries
  • Proven track record of sales results in same or other relevant industries
  • Knowledge of the gas measurement solutions is a plus
  • High level of sales and business acumen
  • Winning and convincing personality
  • Experience and ability to close deals successfully
  • Strong communication, motivation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Knowledge of other languages such as French is a plus
  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Education:
BSc or equivalent degree or experience
Reports to:
Vice President Sales EU, AP, ME
Income:
Depending on experience and qualification you are offered an attractive income with bonus and company car
